FAUNAMASTER – A BRILLIANT LITTLE MACHINE
The farmer can Aage Holst Pedersen from Kongerslev, Himmerland, that he'd at least vouch for. On his farm, it's hitched up to an ATV, and then it's ready to tackle various tasks.
He sat there and looked at Facebook for a bit when he first came across a presentation of a Faunamaster seed drill.
“I just saw it and thought, I have to have it. It can do everything.” smiled Aage Holst Pedersen.
Many different tasks
He quickly confirms that it at least covers his needs – and more.
A tour of the company shows how many places Faunamaster has been a valuable tool for Aage. In the farthest metre of the fields, towards the road, has been sown faunastriber, and it is a great joy to the many passers-by in the local area.
“I've heard many say that you're simply over the moon when you drive past and see it.” sig. Aage Holst Pedersen.
Before the fauna strips, it was also Faunamaster that was used to sow a number of maize crops – and both the fauna strips and maize are of great benefit to the area's animals and insects. Faunamaster turned out to be also a indispensable tool, as the large seeder suddenly failed.
“I used it to sow about half a hectare in the wheat field because there were problems with the large seed drill. And I have to say, sowing from an ATV is a completely different experience compared to a tractor.” sig. Aage Holst Pedersen.
In short, the North Jutland farmer Faunamaster to a lot.
ARRIVES EVERYWHERE
In addition to the ability to sow many different kinds of seeds, Aage Holst Pedersen highlights its compact size as a major advantage, especially for farmers.
“It can get to places where I can't drive a tractor. Especially some of the low-lying areas, which I have a fair bit of. I also lent it to a mate who had to sow in clay soil, which wasn't possible with the tractor. It was simply too soft, and the Faunamaster was perfectly ideal for that.” Aage says.
Small machines are on the rise
Aage has today chosen to focus 100 percent on crop production, and that was partly why the Faunamaaster seed drill became an interesting tool. He has only had the machine for about a year, but it has already been of great benefit to the operation.
“I have been very satisfied with it, and it is also really easy to adjust. I have also used the enclosed sole table as a basis, which has been a great help.” says Aage and continues: “It's a little ingenious machine, because it has everything you need for agriculture.”
Although tractors and other large agricultural machinery In the daily operation of the 225 hectares of land that Aage has access to, he is greatly impressed by the small machinery.
“You can do a lot with the small machines these days, and it's also much more economical to run them. The small machines are becoming more and more interesting – in the future too.” sig. Aage Holst Pedersen.
