Faunamaster Forest Recovery – establishing new wildlife habitats in the forest

Faunamaster Forest Recovery is a specially developed wildlife mix for forest areas, designed to establish new game meadows on soils with low pH and nutrient-poor conditions – typically areas degraded after logging.

The mixture was developed in 2023 in collaboration with Forstkontor Sommer GmbH in response to high demand from Germany, where thousands of hectares of forest were felled after beetle infestation.

Sowing time

• Optimal sowing time: May-September, depending on soil temperature and local conditions

• 1-1.5 cm seeding depth

• Low to moderate nutrition: 40-60 kg N per ha to ensure fast establishment, especially on nutrient-poor soils.
