Faunamaster partridge mix
The blend:
Faunamaster partridge and bird mix is co-designed with a focus on the partridge
The Faunamaster partridge and bird mix attracts an abundance of insects and will therefore be a favorite habitat for birds, as well as a great benefit to the biodiversity of the area around the mix.
Mixes offer good nesting opportunities, cover, and plenty of insect food for the chickens, which is essential in the first few weeks of life.
Advice on how to get started:
Faunamaster partridge and bird mix should be sown in rows of minimum 25 cm.
This allows the hen and chickens to move freely between the rows when foraging, while ensuring not too much row spacing and good coverage.
Make sure your seedbed is clean before planting, as this is where many people make the biggest mistake.
Location of your gamekeeper for partridges:
For partridges, it is important that there is sunlight close to their habitat.
Therefore, if you have an east-west living fence, place your gamekeeper on the south side of the fence.
Here the partridge can easily “sunbathe” and it’s also great for your gamekeeper with sunlight, whether it’s for game birds or deer.
