Frequently asked questions

Here you will find answers to the most common S105 questions.

1Which vehicles can pull the Seeder 105?
The Seeder 105 can be mounted on ATVs, UTVs, and Category 1 tractors. We recommend a minimum of 20 hp, 4×4, and a vehicle weight of at least 350 kg for optimal stability and traction – especially when working in uneven terrain.
2What types of seed can I sow with the machine?
The Seeder 105 is designed to handle virtually all seed types – from small clover and herb seeds to larger seeds such as maize and fava beans. The adjustable dosing, seeding depth, and row spacing as needed ensure precise sowing, regardless of seed type or mix.
3Can the machine be used for both seeding and fertilizing?
Yes. You can apply both seed and fertilizer in one and the same operation, saving time and ensuring uniform distribution.
4Can the seeding depth be adjusted?
Yes. The machine has an adjustable working depth from 0–80 mm in a prepared seedbed, allowing the sowing to be adapted to both seed type and soil conditions. For overseeding without soil cultivation, we recommend a maximum seeding depth of 10 mm. The depth is mechanically adjusted and ensures precise seed placement – whether working with small seeds close to the surface or larger seeds that require greater seeding depth.
5Can the Seeder be used for overseeding existing grass fields?
Yes. The Seeder 105 is well suited for overseeding existing grass fields and natural areas. The machine’s disc coulters cut effectively through the existing vegetation and place the seeds directly into the soil. This means you can overseed without having to plough or completely re-establish the entire field. Overseeding is an effective solution if you want to improve the density of a grass field, strengthen the quality of the plant stand, or introduce new species – without taking the area completely out of operation.
6Is the machine difficult to operate?
No. The Seeder 105 is user-friendly and does not require agricultural experience. It is equipped with an electric actuator for the lift/lower function, allowing you to control everything directly from your vehicle.
7What should I be aware of regarding maintenance?
After use, you should clean the seed hopper, check moving parts, and lubricate relevant components. This extends the machine’s lifespan and ensures good results next time.
8How is the Seeder transported between areas?
The Seeder is equipped with an electric actuator for transport mode. During transport, the actuator is activated and the machine is raised, increasing ground clearance to approximately 200 mm. This protects the implement while driving and makes it easy to move between work areas. When raised, the machine can also easily be driven onto a trailer, making transport between separate areas simple and practical. This makes the Seeder 180 well suited for users who work on multiple smaller areas that are not directly connected to each other.
9How does the Seeder 105 differ from traditional seed drills?
The Seeder 105 is developed as a flexible and multifunctional solution for smaller and more complex areas where traditional agricultural seed drills are often too large or impractical. The machine stands out by: * Handling almost all types of seed – from small clover seeds to larger seeds such as maize * Allowing simultaneous application of seed and fertilizer in a single operation * Being compatible with ATVs, UTVs, and Category 1 tractors * Being easy and intuitive to operate – even without agricultural experience * Operating in areas where larger tractors and traditional seed drills cannot access This makes the Seeder 105 particularly suitable for nature management, game crops, wildlife strips, and smaller agricultural areas where flexibility and maneuverability are essential.
10What is the difference between the Seeder 105 and the Seeder 180?
The Seeder 105 and the Seeder 180 are both developed for precise seeding with ATVs, UTVs, and Category 1 tractors, but they are designed for different needs. The Seeder 105 is the compact model and is well suited for smaller areas, narrow passages, and users where maneuverability and a smaller working width are essential. The Seeder 180 is designed for larger areas and higher capacity. Its wider working width increases efficiency per pass and is particularly well suited for the establishment and maintenance of larger game crops and natural areas. Choose the Seeder 105 for smaller and more confined areas. Choose the Seeder 180 if you prioritize capacity and efficiency on larger surfaces.
