Faunamaster Agro offers a floral fallow mix that can also be used for the 4% set-aside areas in the new CAP reform.

To meet the 2-year activity requirement, the mix contains both annual and perennial species. This mix ensures a long flowering period, which is pleasing to the eye and also benefits wildlife, diversity, insects, etc.

Requirements for fallow land

A mechanical soil treatment and sowing of a flower mixture of seed- and nectar-producing plant species must be carried out by April 30 at the latest. To achieve the best results for your flower fallow, thorough and careful soil preparation and establishment is essential.

The mixture consists of

Oil flax, buckwheat, vetch, vetch, sunflower, oilseed radish, yellow mustard, honeywort, blood clover, red clover, white clover, common chickling vetch, chicory, lance-leaved plantain, red fescue. Red fescue is added to the mixture, which means that the area can be converted to fallow after two years as, for example, flower fallow. Of course, after two years, a new flower fallow can also be established.
